Since their father won a second term, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump — President Donald Trump’s two eldest sons, neither of whom hold official roles in the administration — have become linked to investments in at least 10 companies with military applications. Those firms have collectively received about $3.7 billion in federal funds since the start of the second Trump administration, according to an MS NOW review of public records. Three hit record levels of Defense Department funding within the last year. – The article also said that there is no law preventing them from doing this!  The Trumps don’t even pretend to hide their corruption any more.

For reasons that are hard to fathom, included among Biden era gun rules that Donald Trump has rolled back are restrictions on people who have been adjudicated mentally ill, making it easier for them to get access to guns and ammunition.  – I guess the shooting numbers I listed above were not high enough for Republicans . . . wait!  I know – second amendment, second amendment, Christian soldiers need their weapons . . .words from God . . .

From ABC News:  Home prices continued to rise nationally last month. The U.S. median sales price increased 1.8% in June from a year earlier to $440,600, an all-time high, NAR said. Home prices have risen on an annual basis for 36 months in a row. – I dunno how most young people can make it these days.

Our local grocery carries a paper called the Epoch Times.  I got it once to try, but it seemed like propaganda by Chinese writers, but favorable to Trump.  Today I saw this:  New York — The former chief financial officer of The Epoch Times, a conservative multinational media company, interrupted jury selection at his money laundering trial on Thursday to plead guilty to a conspiracy charge in a $67 million fraud scheme.  Ah, must be friends of the Trumps.

Dept.:  Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced Tuesday that his department would redirect $1.73 billion in Biden-era grants away from establishing “DEI bike lanes” to build roads and bridges instead.  — DEI bike lanes?  Are they reserved or something?  Wait, will this get more vehicles on the road?  And that’s good, somehow?  Geez.  What next?

It’s happened again.  A college player on scholarship, quits his team after one year to go pro.

In this case, a basketball player for Gonzaga who went to a Spanish pro league.  Don’t know what the answer is, but how can a coach plan ahead when kids can do that with no repercussions?

Also in baseball, we see many of the stars all of a sudden have a minor injury and won’t go to the All-Star Game – they get three days off.  Bet they are all healed after that . . .
