We have a new hybrid SUV and after a few months have calculated our mileage as between 31.6 (my calc) or 32.2 (the car’s calc). Most of our trips are short, to wit: we have had the car over 6 months and have 1446 miles on it. Of course, part of the reason is we are retired, and most everything we need is close by.

Just accidentally read something about the killing of Martin Luther King and I wonder how many people today know this:
In 1994, Loyd Jowers, a restaurant owner, publicly began claiming that he had been part of a conspiracy to assassinate King and that Ray was a scapegoat. I am worried about Trump interference in the fall election. It concerns me that many who know more about national politics are too; some suggest that all we can do is defeat ALL Republicans, at all levels, no matter who they are, and do it by wide margins!
